    1. Preheat: Preheat grill to medium.
    2. Prep: Tear off four pieces of foil, each about 12" (30 cm) square. Split English muffins. Butter the outsides generously, then place a muffin half, buttered side down, on the shiny side of each piece of foil. Spoon about 3 tablespoons (50 g) pie filling onto each muffin; refrigerate any remaining filling for another use. Top filled muffins with remaining buttered muffin halves, buttered side up, and seal packets.
    3. Grill: Place packets on grate over heat and cook for about 15 minutes, turning several times. The outsides of the muffins should be nicely browned. When done, remove from grill and open packets. Be careful, because the filling will be extremely hot; allow to cool for several minutes before serving.
