Grilled Pound Cake with Cayenne Peppered Peaches

Grilled pound cake topped with unexpectedly spicy grilled peaches and served up with cool vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. A quick and delicious dessert for your next backyard BBQ.

    1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Cut peaches in half, remove pits and slice each half into 4 wedges (for a total of 16). Place wedges in a zipper top plastic bag. Add the cloves, brown sugar, ginger, cayenne and lemon juice; shake to coat and let marinate for 15 minutes. Place peaches on skewers and grill on preheated grill turning once until lightly browned, about 2 minutes.
    2. Place pound cake slices on grill and grill, turning once about 1 minute on each side or until golden brown grill marks appear.
    3. Arrange cake slices on serving plates. Remove grilled peaches from skewers and fan 4 wedges on each slice. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
