Grilled Strawberry-Champagne Ice Cream Sundaes

Strawberries and champagne are such a great combination! This is the perfect ending on a hot summer night.

Directions

    1. Preheat grill on medium-high heat.
    2. Thread whole strawberries onto lightly oiled skewers. Cook strawberries on oiled grill grates over medium-high heat for about 15-20 seconds per side or until strawberries are soft and warm.
    3. Remove strawberries from skewers and place in blender. Add champagne (or sparkling wine), honey, and sugar to blender, and process for 30 seconds to 1 minute or until mixture is smooth. Pour mixture through sieve and discard seeds and anything left in sieve.
    4. Spoon ice cream into 8 bowls and drizzle strawberry sauce on top. Serve immediately.
