Grilled Tilapia with Ginger Sauce

A great, simple recipe that also works well with other white, flaky fish, such as trout or striped bass.

Grilled Tilapia with Ginger Sauce



    1. Combine the butter, mustard, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix thoroughly. Brush the mixture on both sides of the filets.
    2. Preheat your grill to medium heat. When the grill is ready, grill the fish using an oiled grill topper. This is a small filet and should take only 5-7 minutes or so to cook. Turn fish only once during grilling.
    3. Combine all sauce ingredients (except for coriander or parsley) in a small saucepan and bring to boil on side burner. Lower heat and simmer for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat, add coriander or parsley and serve with the fish. The sauce may be made ahead of time and kept warm, or refrigerated and reheated. Check the sauce for seasoning before serving, adding a bit more soy sauce if needed.
