Alberta Garlic BBQ Ribs

These ribs are tender and cook quickly. The secret is in precooking. The sauce is great on both pork or beef ribs.

Prep Time
Easy to do
Cook Time
45 to 60 minutes

    1. Precook. Place ribs and water in roaster. Cover and bake in 350F oven or BBQ for 1 hour or until barely tender. Cool a bit, then chill in refrigerator until needed.
    2. Garlic sauce. When ready to BBQ. Mix the remaining ingredients together in a sauce pan. Heat and stir until it boils and thickens. Makes 1 1/3 cups of good dark glaze.
    3. BBQ cooking. Place ribs on a tray along with the sauce and mix together. Arrange ribs over hot coals or on BBQ grill. Cook at medium heat. Turn and brush with garlic sauce. Repeat the turning until the sauce is cooked in. Be careful not to let the sauce burn (Remember, ribs are all ready cooked and do not need much time on the BBQ). Remove from BBQ and serve.
