Thousand Island Burgers

These burgers are great to prepare on the grill when it is too hot to cook indoors. It is a new twist to an old burger.

    1. Preheat the grill. Using the side burner, saute your chopped onions in a skillet with a small amount of oil for five minutes.
    2. Mix the meat, worcestershire sauce, onion and steak seasoning into four large patties. Rub the patties lightly with a small amount of oil. Cook 4 to 5 minutes per side, depending on your taste. While these are cooking, I saute the mushrooms in a little oil for 5 minutes on the side burner.
    3. When the burgers are done, top with the mushrooms and place the cheese slice over top. Close the lid until cheese is melted. Remove from the grill and place on the bun. Add a slice of tomato, a leaf of lettuce and the desired amount of Thousand Island Dressing. Enjoy!
